Ezekiel 22:30
So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found no one.
God is looking for people to pray for others. The verses before verse 30 identify the spiritual state of the nation.
God says the priests, the spiritual leaders have not distinguished between the holy and unholy, clean and unclean. The princes, the civil leaders exploited people to get dishonest gain. The prophets gave false visions and spoke lies.
The land was full of oppression, theft, mistreatment of people on low income and anyone vulnerable including strangers.
A deteriorating spiritual state leads to corruption and the breakdown of law and order. A deteriorating spiritual state eventually leads to a failed state.
God needs us to pray for others, to restore the breach in the spiritual wall of protection against evil.
He asks us to stand in the gap and pray especially for spiritual and political leaders to call out sin and prosecute injustice and corruption so God won’t judge the land.
Ezekiel 22:30
So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found no one.
Mark 11:24
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray,
believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
While we're on this earth we'll have needs and God wants us to ask in faith to recieve what we need. There's no need to manipulate or steel what we need. God wants us to go to Him and He wants to provide for us.
Jesus wants us to ask and He wants us to believe that we have received whatever we’ve asked for at the time we pray.
We are to believe that we have received in the spiritual realm before it manifests physically.
The natural, unspiritual mind says “seeing is believing”. Jesus wants us to believe before we see.
Jesus wants us to pray to the Father in His name. We only have to ask once and believe we have received at the time we pray. Then Thank God until it manifests.
Mark 11:24
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray,
believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
John 16:23
And in that day you will ask Me nothing, Most assuredly I say to you,
Whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
In this passage Jesus is teaching us how to ask. It’s possible that people are not receiving what they ask God for, because they ask the wrong way.
Under the new covenant relationship with God Jesus says to ask the Father in His name. He’ll authorize payment if we use His name.
It doesn’t matter how religious some other way of asking God may sound He doesn’t want us to use any other name or way of asking.
Jesus only has one way for us as individuals to ask for anything and that is to go to the Father using His Name. The name above all names to which every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord and God.
John 16:23
And in that day you will ask Me nothing, Most assuredly I say to you,
Whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
