Fountain Springs Ministries was founded by Michael and Elaine McKeon. Elaine started having Spirit filled prayer meetings in her home in 1980, in Cloncurry, north west Queensland, Australia. People of various denominations and all walks of life would come to these meeting which were like the meetings in the Book of the Acts of the Apostles. The presence of God was there, prayers were answered, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit were manifested.

In 1988 God spoke to Michael through His Word in the books of Haggai and Zechariah about building His temple. Since that time Michael has shared the Word of God pastoring the believers who worshiped God with them.

Those informal gatherings of believers were incorporated by Michael and Elaine as Fountain Springs Ministries Pty Ltd in 1999 with Jesus Christ as the Head of the Church, Ephesians 1:22.

Fountain Springs Ministries shares the Word of God with the world thereby building up the people of God who are the ‘living stones’ that make up the spiritual House of God today, 1 Peter 2:5. The love of God is concerned with the whole person, body, soul and spirit and this ministry seeks to build up the whole person as God intends.

Michael is a pastor and teacher of God’s Word. He published his own account about God’s ability to heal as ‘God’s Promise of Healing’. Since then he has been published ‘Redemption God’s Buy Back Plan’.

Elaine has had a lifelong concern for the well-being of others. She has worked in community, corporate and government sectors.

Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit she started a community enterprise to address the employment and training needs of the most disadvantaged people in the Cloncurry community. She has been a Chairperson of Aboriginal Hostels Ltd, a Federal Government company and 2000 received an Order of Australia for her service to the community.
