The Origin of Sickness and Death

Romans 5:12

Romans 5:12

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through, sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned -

A lot of people blame God for sickness or even teh death of a loved one, but they are mistaken. Death and all the sickness and disease in the world came as a result of the sin of Adam's rebellion against God in the garden.

God did not introduct sickness into the world. Genesis say everything God created was very good so it didn't include disease. Genesis 1:31)

Satan's right to operate on the earth was somehow limited before Adam's act of rebellion, but after that satan had a legal right to act on earth adn he is the instigator of sickness and disease.

Jesus calls satan teh thief in John 10:10

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.

Satan steals peopl's hearth, robs people of family members, friends and destroys lives. That is the only reason he comes around. He has put a lot of deception around that it wasn't him.

Jesus Paid for Our Healing at Pilate's Whipping Post

1 Peter 2:24

1 Peter 2:24

who Himself (Jesus) bore our sins in His own body onthe tree, that we, haveing died to sins, might live for righteousness - by whose stripes you were healed.

God always intended for healing to be part of our redemption. The apostle Peter is referring to the prophecy by Isaiah 53:4-5:

4 Surely He has borne our griefs (literally sicknesses) and carried our sorrows (pains); Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smittby by God, and afflicted.

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

In the original Hebrew language griefs litterally meant sicknesses and sorrows literally meant pains. It would have been more accurate and more beneficial for the translators to have given the literal translation.

Jesus paid for our sickness and pain at Pilate's whipping post. These were the stripes Isaiah and Peter are referring too. Peter speaks in the past tense ".by whose stripes you were healed."

Our healing has been paid for and is now available for us to recieve by faith from God promises. Our healing is available to us in proportion to our faith.

It is important to build up our faith muscles by hearing and hearing the Word of God to be able to believe for our own healing and to pray for others.

I Peter 2:24

...by whose stripes you were healed.

Health Sciences Are the Wisdom and Mercy of God

I worked as a registered nurse for many years. I am vaccinated for Covid 19 and I encourage everyone to be vaccinated and abide by the Immunisation Schedule of your local Public Health Authority.

I also encourage Christians to be good witnesses to their neighbours by abiding by Public Health guidelines, e.g. wearing masks, social distancing and isolation when required. These measures will help save lives. They will help relieve pressure on health services which will breakdown if staff are overwhelmed.

The Holy Spirit told us through the apostle Paul to submit to governments:

Romans 13:1-2 New King James Version

1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and teh authorities that exist are appointed by God.

2 Therefore whoever resists teh authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgement on themselves.
